OHCHR Mandate The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), a department of the United Nations Secretariat, is mandated to promote and protect the enjoyment and full realization, by all people, of all rights established in the Charter of the United Nations and in international human rights laws and treaties. The mandate includes preventing human rights violations, securing respect for all human rights, promoting international cooperation to protect human rights, coordinating related activities throughout the United Nations, Human Rights, and the Charter of the United Nations. http://www.ohchr.org/english/Cornell Law School This site contains excellent resources on Federal Law and the Full Code. LII / Legal Information Institute Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy Welcome to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (SEP). From its inception, the SEP was designed so that each entry is maintained and kept up to date by an expert or group of experts in the field. All entries and substantive updates are refereed by the members of a distinguished Editorial Board before they are made public. Consequently, our dynamic reference work maintains academic standards while evolving and adapting in response to new research. http://plato.stanford.edu/about.htmlReporter Without Borders
"Don’t wait to be deprived of news to stand up and fight for it" In some countries a journalist can be thrown in prison for years for a single offending word or photo. Jailing or killing a journalist removes a vital witness to events and threatens the right of us all to be informed. Reporters Without Borders has fought for press freedom on a daily basis since it was founded in 1985. http://www.rsf.org/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=20Amnesty International The International Criminal Court Fact Sheets United States Department of Defense http://www.defenselink.mil/faq/comment.htmlFederal Bureau of Investigation About Us—Quick Facts Our Mission To protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners http://www.fbi.gov/Human Rights Network In this section you will find various practical information about
